Match Bank Data

Navigate to Bank Connect → Information Reporting → Match Bank Data.

The Match Bank Data page displays NetSuite transactions in the right column and imported bank statement data in the left column.

Bank accounts in NetSuite must be enabled for the Match Bank Data functionality to import statement data via Bank Connect. For more information, visit Configure Bank Accounts.

Match Bank Data Tabs

NetSuite’s Match Bank Data page is organized into tabs based on matching status.

Match Bank Data Tab Description
Match Suggestions Automatically matches imported bank data with account transactions using NetSuite's Intelligent Transaction Matching. You can learn more here.
Transactions to Match Displays transactions that still require your attention—these items have not yet been matched or confirmed and may need manual review or matching.
Excluded Transactions Contains transactions that have been intentionally set aside, meaning they will not be considered for matching unless they are restored.

Missing a transaction? They may have been matched during the bank reconciliation process. Check matched and excluded transactions to locate these items.

Update Imported Bank Data

Bank Connect automatically imports bank transactions each day, with no manual action required.

  • Daily Sync: Automatically imports bank transactions from the previous business day.
  • Error Handling: If an import fails, Bank Connect automatically retries every 2 hours (up to 3 retries per day).

To request a real-time update for a single account, click Update Imported Bank Data after selecting the desired bank account in the dropdown.

This request can be made once every 60 minutes in NetSuite.

To update bank data for all accounts at once, navigate to Bank Connect→Information Reporting→Import Bank Data. Click Update Bank Data for All Accounts.
