Role Required: Bank Connect Administrator
After activating Bank Connect for your company, administrators must link users and bank accounts to enable access to the banking services available through Bank Connect.
Activate Company
Before linking users and accounts, you must activate Bank Connect for your Business Central company.
If your company is already activated, you can skip this section and proceed to linking users and accounts.
In Business Central, select the Search icon, enter Bank Connect Setup, and open the page.
On the Bank Connect Setup page, enter the Activation Key provided by your bank, then select Submit to Activate.
Enter your Bank Connect Administrator credentials when prompted to authenticate your connection to the bank.
Once authentication is complete, you will see Account Services & Entitlements where you can review all bank accounts, account services and policies that were configured during your company's enrollment. For more information on Account Services & Entitlements, see the Understanding Entitlements article.

In Business Central, search for and open Bank Connect Setup.
Select Link Users & Accounts by opening the dropdown next to Account Services & Entitlements.
Locate the User you want to link on the left side of the page.
Select the corresponding Linked Employee from the dropdown.
Repeat for any additional users who require linking.
Click Save User & Account Links to save all linking.
Important considerations:
- Users must be enrolled with your bank before they can be linked.
- User linking is required for users to submit or approve payments through Bank Connect.
- Inactive users will not appear in the user linking dropdown.

Locate the Bank Account you want to link on the left side of the page.
Select the corresponding Linked Account from the dropdown.
Repeat for each bank account you want to use with Bank Connect.
Click Save User & Account Links to save all linking and set Historical Import Date.
-
In the Historical Import Date window, select the start date for your initial bank statement import.
- The selected date applies to only linked accounts included in this save.
- The import end date is automatically set to the previous business day.
Imports can only be backfilled up to 31 days.

Important considerations:
- Only accounts enrolled with your bank for Bank Connect will be available for linking.
- Account linking is required to retrieve bank statement imports through Bank Connect.
- Blocked accounts will not appear in the Linked Account dropdown.
- Historical imports begin immediately for the newly linked accounts using the selected date range.
